Great walks and stunning views of remote mountain ranges

The park offers great walks and stunning views of remote mountain ranges that stretch as far as the southern coast. The park is at the southern end of the Huon Valley and is part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. There are short scenic walks that take in the many natural wonders of the Hartz Mountains, including the Waratah Walk - just a few minutes walk to a lookout platform with sweeping forest views.

Nearby is the Hastings Caves Reserve with spectacular caves, outdoor thermal springs and beautiful forest walks.
